While playing college hockey, she obtained a diploma in Business Management with a focus on Accounting from Assiniboine Community College. Then she went on to receive her Chartered Insurance Professional status, Risk Management Certificate & Commercial Insurance Certificate from the Insurance Institute of Canada. While focusing on her career, sport and fitness was still a major part of her life.  She completed the CF-L1 program and Precision Nutrition Certificate.  Megan developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector as a beneficiary of a 3 month “loan” program to the United Way of Brandon from her full-time job at Manitoba Public Insurance. Over this period, the program focused on working together to build strong communities, help kids be all they can be, and move people from poverty to possibility. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life for our region, one program at a time.
